Charity Story

Since 2010, Friends of the Lycée has been supporting the development of the French school network in London within the context of the ‘Plan Ecole’ coordinated by the French Embassy.

Friends of the Lycée is a registered charity created in 1990 to improve the education of pupils at the Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle, focusing on a curriculum of languages, literature, history and French culture.

In 2010, the objects of Friends of the Lycée were modified to support French and bilingual education more broadly within the French school network in England.

  • We help finance teaching equipment, school facilities and educational projects to improve the school environment and wellbeing of pupils.
  • We also aim to support pupils by providing funds for bursaries. Friends of the Lycée makes donations for school fees to charities helping families in financial difficulties.
