For 30 years, Friends of the Lycée has been evolving with the development of the French school network in London to be able to fund a wide variety of projects supporting both schools and families.

We initially collaborated with the Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle and its associated primary schools. In 2010 the charity amended its deeds to be in a position to support French and bilingual education more broadly.

Friends of the Lycée was therefore able to support the creation of the new Lycée International de Londres Winston Churchill in 2015.

We are extremely grateful for the generosity of our donors which has fueled our mission over the years.

From supporting school projects to helping families with school fees, we have been able to evolve and accompany the French community in its expansion of the school network and its changing needs.

We depend on your generosity to fulfil our mission and we welcome donations from both individuals and corporations.

As a registered charity, Friends of the Lycée can benefit from Gift Aid allowing us to receive 25p for every £1 donated.

Lycée International de Londres Winston Churchill

Prior to the opening of the Lycée International de Londres Winston Churchill in Wembley in 2015, Friends of the Lycée contributed to the creation of the new school thanks to generous private donations.

Through the annual APL Appeal, Friends of the Lycée has participated in the funding of a variety of projects: library furniture, playground renovation and equipment, a piano, soundproof classrooms and technological equipment including tablets.

Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle

Since 2005, £1.5 million has been donated through the APL Appeal to the Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle to help finance a multitude of projects including playgrounds, sciences laboratories, libraries, conference rooms and parent conferences. We also helped fund the purchase of technological equipment including computers, tablets and white boards, teaching materials, as well as sports and playground equipment.
